SMC supplies parts to a
variety of industries including the automotive sector. We supply parts to
the OEMs, as well as Tier 1, 2
and 3 customers. We are currently certified in
TS16949 , ISO 9002 and
ISO 14001.
SMC maintains an
in-house metallurgical lab for the raw material inspection, hardness
testing, and microstructure analysis of our cold forming material. We also
maintain traceability of our products through the different manufacturing
operations right back to the original raw material billet from the steel
mill.
We use Impax machine
monitors to better control the cold forming production process itself as
well as control and minimize tooling costs. We were also one of the first
in the industry to use industrial personal computers at each cold former
for SPC data collection and process monitoring so that we can ensure that
our parts are run to your exact specifications.
